FAQs
+ What saftey gear do we need to bring?
Stellar recommends guests bring their own safety gear which they are accustom to using (beacon, shovel, probe, avalanche pack), however we will provide any and all necessary safety equipment if guests do not have their own.
+ What certifications do Stellar Guides have?
All Stellar Alaska lead guides have more than 10 years of Alaska heli ski experience with a WFR medical training and a minimum of Avy Pro 1. We recognize that there is no substitute for experience in the big mountains of Alaska.
+ Is this trip open to all levels of riders?
Stellar Alaska requires powder skiing experience however there are mountains as far as you can see in every direction and there is something here for everyone.
+ What is the cancellation policy?
In order for Stellar to make these trips a reality we must pre pay for lodging, food, lift tickets, and guiding services, as well as helicopters in remote locations. For this reason we are unable to provide cash refunds. We reccomend all guests file for trip insurance to be covered in case of bad weather, injury, or last minute trip cancellations.
+ Are we gaurenteed to ski everyday?
We like to tell guests, "come for the week to ski 3 or 4 of the best days of your season." The reason the skiing is so good in Alaska is because it snows frequently, and our pilots require sunny days to make our dreams come true. However, there will be no shortage of fun to be had on down days! Stellar recognizes that this is your special week in Alaska and we will make sure there are #NoDownDays
